Happy Spring…er Almost.

Hello Everyone! It’s been a busy winter period and spring is having a bipolar fit. My expectation was that I would slow down on performances over the winter, but that did not happen much to my delight. A lot has happened since the last post, too much to recite, yet I did want to point out one exciting thing happening.

On February 26th, I announced on my business site as well as my business Facebook page that I have completed the first banjo since returning from Alaska back to my home in the Ozarks.

Many of you know that back in 2013 I had a wild hair to “try out” Alaska and see if it was for me. At the time, I needed a very big change. Well, it was a big change. So much so that I decided that the gold I sought was right here in the Ozarks. It was a time that sparked two songs to be written, some of my best originals.

Sure, I met some wonderful people and made some great friends, some may even be life long ones! All of that said, at the end of 2015 we made it back home to our new land just north of Ava Missouri where I hoped to start my banjo business that I had begun before I left. As slow as it felt, it really went quickly and as of the end of month of February, one banjo was complete and another close behind.

So now, while I await that first banjo to sell, I am performing with it at so many fantastic venues around the Ozarks of Arkansas and Missouri! A second banjo is soon to be completed and will be my personal banjo. The inlay on it is symbolic and has a lot of meaning to me. So much so, I plan to write a song about it some day when the inspiration hits.

I hope you will sign up for my updates here on my website as it is my goal to use this site primarily for my announcements of performances. Though, lately my Facebook page has been the primary outlet, but I do intend to get back to the original plan. So just to be safe, run over to my musician page on Facebook and give it a like and a Follow! And if you’re interested, You can check out my website for Snowbird Banjo Company LLC, the banjo company I am starting. You can also like and follow my Facebook page for it and Instagram account.

Here’s to a happy festival season!
